New Dodge Charger EV

The new Dodge Charger features innovation at every turn. From the aerodynamically enhanced hood to the way it doesn't look like a typical "battery-laden melted jelly bean," there's a lot of "cool" going on with this Dodge Charger. For instance, the new performance Charger R/T with 496-horsepower electric motors delivers power to all four wheels for the ultimate in peak acceleration. Clearly, there will be some legend-making going on here.

The Charger Daytona Scat Pack is juiced by a 670 horsepower electric motor system. All that power goes to an AWD system so advanced that it outperforms today's supercharged Hellcat Redeye. We're talking NASA-grade performance here, folks. (We kid). And we haven't even discussed the 800-volt Charger Banshee yet. Stay tuned for more as it becomes available.

Electric Dodge Charger Interior

According to a few Dodge honchos, the Next-Generation Charger is not the electric car "they" want you to have. (Whoever "They" may be) This is a Dodge. As a result, that means it's an electric muscle car that will make the rule makers, lawyers, and finally, "the suits" wish they hadn't had that double chai latte for lunch today. And new for the upcoming year, there are now two ways to show your swagger: the new Charger is available in a two-door coupe or four-door sedan.

Inside is a large 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch or 16.0-inch infotainment display. A pistol grip shifter is here as a throwback feature reminiscent of the old Hurst models from the 1970s. In the back, fold-flat rear seats, a cargo hatch, and a best-in-class cargo area help blur the lines between car and SUV further.

Is it a gas or electric Dodge Charger?

Electric Dodge Charger

The new Dodge Charger comes with plenty of choices. Here, you'll get the same wide-bodied stance whether you choose the two-door coupe or the four-door sedan. Something else sure to attract attention is the chambered sound machine that provides an audio track of American muscle even though the Charger EV doesn't sound at all. Designed to alert pedestrians, it is known as the "Frantzonic" sound system. It is as loud as a supercharged HEMI V8.

As we told you before, the new Charger isn't just an EV. It is what you want it to be. Choose the electric Dodge Charger or go with the internal combustion engine (ICE) combo. A twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline six-cylinder engine making 420 horsepower powers the Dodge Charger Six Pack. Still, some may think that's not enough. For those enthusiasts, there's the Dodge Charger HO. Its inline six-cylinder engine makes 550 horsepower. By the numbers, it is the most power-dense internal combustion engine ever put into a muscle car. The Dodge Brothers learned quite a bit about power and performance when they opened their doors over 100 years ago. This knowledge is carried forward in the new Hurricane family of engines. These engines consist of twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engines mated to 8-speed automatic transmissions with standard all-wheel drive. The AWD system can be switched so the next-gen Dodge Charger can perform as a rear-drive muscle car, too.

The next generation Charger is Dodge's promise to build you the world's best muscle cars. This time machine will remind you of the past while launching you into the future. The new Charger is a direct descendant of the company's origin story, and Napleton's Mid Rivers CDJR is proud to show you today. It may have started as concepts. But these chargers are the real. They are legends in the making. See them today at Napleton's Mid Rivers Jeep!
