Transmission Maintenance: Your
Ram 2500 is equipped with a modern, sealed, automatic or manual
transmission. Under normal conditions it should remain reliable for use
on a daily basis with very little in the way of maintenance. The only
service required would be a transmission fluid drain and refill at 120,000 miles. If you subject it to rather extreme duty, you might decide to replace the transmission fluid every 60,000 miles instead. If your Ram 2500 is equipped with a transfer case, that too should be replaced every 120,000 miles for normal usage and every 60,000 miles for extreme usage.
Windshield Wipers: A
safety, as well as convenience device, your Ram 2500 windshield helps
keep a clear eye on the road ahead. But they do eventually wear out
thanks to cold, heat, rain and sun. In other words, there is no getting
around it, your wiper blades will wear out simply by being out in the
elements. And we know how you use your Ram 2500s. The parts department
at Mid Rivers CDJR will be sure to stock fresh pairs of new wiper
blades so that you can continue up the road, regardless of the
conditions outside. A Napleton Pro Tip: When the wipers streak, spot or squeak, that's a good indication that it's time for replacement.
Spark Plugs and batteries: Your Mid Rivers Ram 2500 features long-life spark plugs that are good for approximately 100,000 miles.
Most of the time they last that long, but every now and then, one wise
guy manages to sneak through. At that point, and with the reasonable
price associated with them, it is a good idea to change out the whole
set. The same with your battery. Expect to get 3-4 years of
service from your battery but possibly less if you live in extremely
heated or cold regions. The Mid Rivers Ram Service Department
offers Mopar-Approved replacement spark plugs and batteries whenever you need them. We are just a phone call (and a jumper cable) away.
Finally: It's great book for the nightstand! That's right! The Ram 2500 Owner's Manual offers plenty of compelling tips for owners of the Ram 2500 Pickup truck.
It also details of how to get the most from your Ram truck. Your Mid Rivers Ram, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep service advisors are
eager to offer you professional service that will keep your Ram
2500 running like new. Call for more information today.
